How the Integration Works
AS Software’s integration with Epic operates through HL7 Bi-Directional Interfaces, ensuring seamless data exchange. Orders are initiated in Epic and transferred to AS upon patient arrival, with the AS report linked to one or multiple Epic orders. Modifications made in Radiant are synchronized with AS.
Upon report signature, AS sends the final report to Epic, which is stored in Epic’s server or forwarded to a document repository. Billing processes are streamlined, with charges automatically generated in Epic based on AS reports. The optional HL7 Billing Interface further enhances billing efficiency by forwarding CPT and ICD-10 codes from AS to Epic.
AS Software also supports plugin integration into Epic, facilitating contextual sharing and enabling AS-driven workflows within Epic’s environment. This integration allows seamless access to patient records within AS while viewing them in Epic and vice versa. Additionally, AS can prompt Epic to open patient records matching AS report accessions, ensuring a cohesive workflow experience.
