About the Role:

The Integration Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions across AS Software applications. The employee will participate in workflow discovery and design, configuration and testing of interfaces, as well as coordinating data migrations as needed between disparate systems.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitates defining and documenting integration requirements  
  • Manages integration activities through the entire project life cycle, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support 
  • Develops interfaces using appropriate Interoperability standards (HL7, API, Cold feed, ect.) to meet integration needs of customers Electronic Health Record (EHR)  
  • Communicates, coordinates, and escalates interface issues to see timely resolution 
  • Leverage migration tools, technologies, and techniques to move data from database to another (database consolidations, MRN conversions, etc.)  
  • Clear and effective collaboration with Internal and external team members, customers, and key stakeholders
  • Recommends improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of existing integrations 
  • Analyzes and proposes effective solutions for interface projects 
  • Designs changes and enhancements to interface 
  • Plan, implement, manage data and image migrations between IT systems 
  • Troubleshoots all technical challenges and problems and escalates if necessary 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills 
  • Healthcare domain knowledge and programming mindset 
  • Proficient in translating and writing HL7 Interface Specifications  
  • Excellent understanding of SFTP protocols  
  • Experienced supporting a production application, including deployments, troubleshooting, and tuning 
  • Script development experience to reduce manual errors and manipulate data across network types 
  • Jira or other Agile Development tool  
  • SQL Database Administration, DICOM, LDAP, and PACS experience are all a plus  
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple tasks and projects with deadlines

Hours/Shift: Able to work 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CT Monday – Friday
