Physicians can also view a vital signs summary, a pregnancy follow-up summary, and detailed notes regarding the pregnancy.


The Demographics page allows for the entry or import of all of the patient's basic information. Examples of the information stored in the Demographics are: Social Security Number, Date of Birth, address information and emergency contact information. One of the most important features is that it enables physicians to store information regarding referring physicians, primary family physicians, insurance information, as well as space for individual comments.

The Encounter is one of the most important templates of the AS-OBGYN application. This template is where physician-patient sessions are documented. An encounter is divided into several sections: Vital signs, pregnancy follow-up (including placenta location and fetal movement), fetal heart rate, problem list, medication or refills, order summary, problem follow-up, progress notes and comments.

Every lab result can be viewed by test group, in chronological batches, or alphabetical order. Tests also can be selected in order to show previous results of the same tests. Additionally, the Lab Analysis screen provides a graphical view of the results in two distinguished formats: line charts or bar charts.

This feature was specially developed to capture, analyze, and archive Ultrasound images. It is designed to meet a new level of simplicity, convenience, and sophistication for your ultrasound image records. The images are stored and archived in a distributed database in a patient-oriented manner, to allow easy access to each of the patient's image studies throughout the pregnancy.


As an extra feature made available for the physician's convenience we have developed the letter template. Within this template, physicians can create referral letters, more detailed impressions or recommendations in a word processing-like environment. With the micro-dictionary feature, users can create time-saving, personalized, boiler-plate letters and items for use with frequently utilized documents.


The Questionnaire Guideline Wizard is a special, built-in tool which is activated upon problem existence, that will launch a series of investigative questions related to the problem. This process will automatically document the problem and initiate a treatment plan and orders. For example, if the physician has diagnosed diabetes, the system will prompt for Type I, II or gestational diabetes. Next, the system will prompt for Insulin or diet management. Subsequently, the system will prompt for level of control.
At the end of this process the system will document the diagnosis with the detailed information and will recommend a plan and orders for follow-up.
